Bedraggled Wild Garden

Posted by thecatcanwait on July 12, 2008

Here’s a couple of pics of the Wild Garden looking abit sorry for itself

Flopping over cus losing it’s strength I guess. Needing to be cut to renew vigour.

Get in there with the strimmer.

So i did.

But George had to stop me.

Too brutal and destructive.

Wild has lost its wonderful

Posted by thecatcanwait on July 2, 2008

George is saying that the long wavy grass is starting to look bedraggled.

A bit too wild.

Battered by rain and gales.

There’s a point when spontaneous flips over into chaos, when wild and wonderful starts to be more like pointless messy mess.

Seems like we’ve hit that point.

So strimmer needs to come to the rescue to cut the chaos back into shape.

Create order.

But not too much order.

We might have pictures to show soon.

Under the Apple Tree

Posted by thecatcanwait on June 16, 2008

This has – almost miraculously – transformed into a magical part of the garden.

Like an enchanted space

There’s a way to go in thro the wavy wild grass

and sit there in a quiet place

on the wooden bench Georgi has just painted

and think quiet thoughts

or read poetry

or paint pictures

or meditate

or have dreamy dreams

or simply feel gratitude

for being there and having such a lovely place to sit.

And maybe other lovely things can go on under that apple tree too.

Can’t they George!

Filling up

Posted by thecatcanwait on June 13, 2008

Lets see if i can give a sense of the overflowing “life” of the garden right now. Give you a sniff of how greenly growing it is.

Those are the good old reliable potatoes (as seen from the potato end)

All over everywhere is bursting out with summeryness. (I’ve just made that word up)

Poppies galorious (another word I’ve just made up)

as seen from the bottom end.

Actually we need to take some pics of how suddenly – and wonderfully – this bottom end of the garden has taken off into bright and beautiful life.

And also more overview shots to show all the diversity thats going on too.

We might be running out of energy resources everywhere else, but here the fuel of (green) life is full to overflowing.

Lets plug in!

Looking out the bedroom window

Posted by thecatcanwait on June 3, 2008

Look at the pleasing harmony going on.

The garden looking as if it’s curved within the surrounding fields.

The fields fluid movement around the garden.

It’s all about contrast.

Plots and planes. Curves and circles.

Order and freedom. Controlled spontaneity.

Flowing one into, and out of, the other.

“It’s looking lovely” people are saying.

And all the time evolving.

Thro the wild grass

Posted by thecatcanwait on June 2, 2008

Looks inviting doesn’t it?

Down to the bottom of the garden you can go

through the wild grass growing freely

along the path secreted

towards it’s happy destination

Sit out under that sweet little apple tree

Feeling blessed.
